Personal Support Workers are essential members of our healthcare team, playing a crucial role in supporting patients and their families. At Priority Healthcare, they provide compassionate assistance with personal care and activities of daily living, ensuring patients can either recover comfortably from illness or continue aging in place within their homes.
Locations: Greater Sudbury
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily tasks such as bathing, toileting, skincare, light meal prep, and feeding in their own homes or care facilities
- Continuously assess, identify, and respond to patients’ evolving needs, communicating available care options when appropriate
- Perform delegated tasks under the guidance of a supervisor
Qualifications:
- Valid PSW Certificate from an Ontario school
- Vulnerable Sector Check within 1 year
- Valid TB test and proof of Covid vaccine
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends (other shifts may be available also)
- Ability to assist patients with mobility tasks, including standing, walking, sitting, and repositioning in bed
- Proven track record of providing high quality personal care and exceptional customer service
Pay rate:
- $24/hr – Employee
- $28/hr – Independent Contractor
